Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Caravann (the “Service”), operated by the Caravann team (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using Caravann, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Caravann is

Caravann is a shared calendar and map for friend groups: you can create a group, add plans with a date and location, RSVP, chat, vote on polls, track a trip itinerary, and split expenses with people you invite.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Caravann. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials (or your linked Google account) secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Caravann to:

• Post content that's illegal, harassing, threatening, or hateful
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your affiliation with any person
• Upload malicious code, or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service
• Scrape, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product
• Attempt to access another user's account, private group, or data without authorization

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the plans, messages, photos, and other content you add to Caravann (“your content”). By posting it, you give us a license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your messages to other members of your group. Group owners and members can see content shared within their own group; we don't share it outside the group except as described in our Privacy Policy.

You're responsible for content you post, and for making sure you have the right to share anything you upload (like photos).

5. Subscriptions & billing

Caravann's Free plan lets you own one group at no cost. Pro and Team are paid subscription plans billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your billing settings; your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our prices with notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

6. Public groups

If a group owner sets a group to “public,” its name and category become discoverable to other users, who can request to join. Owners can approve or reject join requests. Group owners are responsible for who they let into their group.

7. Termination

You can delete a group you own at any time from group settings — this permanently removes the group's plans, messages, and other data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or parts of it) with reasonable notice where possible.

8. Disclaimers

Caravann is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan, itinerary, or expense calculation will be accurate — always confirm important details (like whether an expense has actually been settled) directly with your group.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caravann and its operator won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any dispute between members of a group over trip costs, plans, or attendance.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Caravann after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
